What a way to kick-off a pulsating weekend of Championship action as the Blades took on the Owls in the Steel City Derby.
Sheffield Wednesday went into this game off the back of 4 straight defeats, including last week’s 4-0 home defeat to Norwich.

A stunning Barrie McKay strike condemned Bolton to a 1-0 defeat at home to Swansea as the Trotters dropped into the relegation zone for the 1st time this season.
After an impressive start, Phil Parkinson’s side are enduring a torrid run of form.
They’ve now won just 1 of their last 13 games which has seen them record just 6 points from a possible 39.
Alarmingly, Bolton have now lost 4 games in a row without scoring. The Trotters are the joint-lowest scorers in the EFL with 11 goals.

Preston No End For Robins
Callum Robinson’s 8th goal in his 150th appearance for Preston secured a 1-0 win at Ashton Gate on Saturday.
This was Preston’s 1st win on the road this season, and it will come as no surprise to Bristol City fans it was their side that broke the duck.
North End are now unbeaten in their last 11 league meetings with the Robins, winning their last 6.
Ashton Gate has been a happy hunting ground for Alex Neil’s side in recent years. They are unbeaten in their last 7 visits, winning their last 5.
Meanwhile, Lee Johnson’s side have now lost 3 successive games for the first time since January.

Pukka Pukki
The game of the week was surely at Carrow Road this weekend as Norwich came from behind to beat Millwall 4-3.
The Canaries have now won 5 consecutive League games for the 1st time since 2015.
Remarkably, Norwich have now scored 4 goals in consecutive games for the 1st time in 9 years.
Daniel Farke’s side have emerged as surprise promotion contenders this season. Their form has been inspired by the brilliance of summer signing Teemu Pukki.
The Finnish striker scored a brace, including a 97th-minute winner on Saturday to take his tally to 9 goals in 14 league games for the club.
This includes 4 goals in his last 2 games and 3 match-winning strikes this season in the EFL.
Even more impressive is the fact the deadly Finnish-er cost the Canaries £0.

Ardley a better time to go?
Despite a 1-0 victory over Haringey Borough in the FA Cup First Round on Friday, AFC Wimbledon have parted company with long-serving manager Neal Ardley.
The decision has been largely well received by Dons’ fans after a poor run of form in League One
Wimbledon lost 7 successive EFL games for the 1st time in their history and have suffered 12 defeats in their last 14.
A major problem for Ardley was his side’s lack of cutting edge in front of goal.
The Dons had failed to score in 5 of their last 7 games and 33 of their last 72.
AFC Wimbledon fans, however, will always be grateful for everything Ardley has done for the club.
He made 245 appearances for the original Dons, scoring 18 goals between 1991 and 2002.
He then went onto manager the club, taking charge in 2012.
Ardley won 106 of his 326 games in charge, a win rate of 32.5%.
He also delivered 1 EFL promotion in 2016 after League 2 play-off success and their 1st ever win over bitter rivals MK Dons in 2014.
