Birmingham City won almost 50% of the loose ball duels in the match. Ryan Woods made five loose ball recoveries for his team.
This was the Tigers’ second win in two games after losing five league games on the spin. Two consecutive 2-0 wins over Barnsey and Birmingham City have given Hull City some hope, as they were able to get out of the relegation zone. On the other hand, the Blues lost their second game in a row and had won three in three before this. It looked like Birmingham might struggle near the bottom end of the table when they were winless for seven consecutive games, but have recently seen a revival and will look to finish as high as possible.
