Norwich City supporters were far from pleased with one Canaries star who was far off the pace in the defeat vs Millwall.
On the opening weekend of the 2025/26 Championship season, Norwich City have suffered defeat at the hands of Millwall.
Liam Manning’s side went down by a goal after Camiel Neghli opened his account for the season.
Norwich City’s hopes were restored after Josh Sargent levelled up the scoreline. The American put pressure on Lions shot-stopper Steven Benda, with the ball ricocheting off Sargent and into the vacant net.
It was Millwall, however, who bagged the next goal through Macauley Langstaff, which handed Norwich City a defeat.
Many questions will be asked of Norwich City following a difficult home performance, especially of one attacker who was far below expected levels on the afternoon.

How Norwich City fans reacted to Ante Crnac’s performance vs Millwall
In truth, no Norwich City players covered themselves in glory after a poor showing at Carrow Road, which led to an opening-day home defeat to Millwall.
Of all the players who received scrutiny on social media, Canaries star Ante Crnac received a reaction from Norwich City fans.
Taking to X, one Norwich fan wrote: “Not much attacking threat about us, but look decent defensively. Need more from Crnac.”
Crnac’s lack of intent in the final third was a common theme amongst Norwich City fans and their thoughts, as one suggested that it was ‘not a great [game] for Crnac’ and that he had an ‘awful game’.
The Norwich forward was then labelled as ‘timid’ and that he didn’t work for ‘this system’.
One fan in particular was left far from happy with the Croatian 21-year-old’s showing, stating that it was a ‘bad’ showing from him.

Ante Crnac stats vs Millwall
Throughout the contest against Millwall, Ante Crnac was fairly anonymous, having, via SofaScore, only managed to notch 20 touches of the ball.
The Croatian made a total of nine passes and won one out of eight attempted duels. As a quick and fleet forward, it was surprising to see Crnac complete just one dribble throughout the tie before he was hooked in favour of Jovon Makama.
Crnac warrants high expectations from Norwich City fans after he notched seven goals and five assists in 38 Championship appearances in the 2024/25 season, which is a clear sign that he can thrive at this level.
Hopefully, the Norwich City ace can pick up his form and begin to show exactly what he is capable of this season.
