West Brom fans had a lot to say about Chris Mepham after watching their side draw 1-1 against Leicester City in the Championship.

West Brom threw away two points on Friday night, missing out on the chance to move up into 2nd place of the Championship table in the process.

Ryan Mason watched on as his side took the lead through summer signing Samuel Iling Junior, only for another West Brom summer signing in Nat Phillips to score a late own goal.

The Baggies now sit in 7th place of the table compared to Marti Cifuentes’ Leicester City in 3rd.

Chris Mepham settling in at West Brom after summer move

Mepham was a key player as Sunderland won promotion via the play-offs last season. But the Black Cats didn’t end up signing the 27-year-old Mepham who joined West Brom on a permanent deal instead.

Since, the Welsh international has featured four times in the league for the Baggies, starting the game against Leicester City.

Despite the poor finish to the game, Baggies fans were largely impressed with Mepham’s performance.
