Hull City summer signing Amir Hadziahmetovic admitted that he spoke to a former Manchester United manager before joining the Tigers.
Despite Hull’s EFL imposed transfer restrictions, Sergej Jakirovic’s Tigers were still able to make some strong purchases.
The addition of Oliver McBurnie has been a real hit at the MKM Stadium and Hadziahmetovic is hoping to follow suit after his deadline day loan move.
It was a no-brainer for the midfielder to come to England after the Bosnia international spoke to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer encouraged Amir Hadziahmetovic to join Hull City
Hadziahmetovic signed from Besiktas after Solskjaer, who was manager at the time, deemed him surplus to requirements.
Solskjaer has been sacked but the former Man United boss was crucial in getting him to go to Hull.
“When I told him about my offer, he was really optimistic. He said it will be very good for me,” he told Hull Live.
“He said to me it will improve me a lot, the intensity here, the fight and everything. He was very positive about everything.”
Amir Hadziahmetovic not surprised by Solskjaer sacking
No sooner after the 28-year-old left Besiktas was Solskjaer sacked.
Considering the form of the side, which saw them knocked out of the Conference League, Hadziahmetovic could see his dismissal coming.
“I can say no because [he] had a lot of ups and a lot of ups and downs and in teams like Besiktas, it’s a big team, the fans they want to win every game.
“So I was expecting it. After that game they sacked him, so that’s probably one of the biggest reasons that they sacked him, financially they needed the money so they were looking for some other coaches.”
