Sheffield Wednesday have had an up-and-down season under Danny Rohl – but overall it can be classed as a good campaign in the Championship.
Rohl, who could leave Wednesday in the summer, has well and truly steadied the Owl’s ship at Hillsborough, and has his side currently sitting 12th in the Championship table.

Wednesday’s latest result was a 1-1 draw against Cardiff. Despite Isaak Davies giving the Bluebirds the lead, the Owls fought back through an unlikely source – Michael Ihiekwe.
The usually out-of-favour centre-half was in fine form on Saturday, obtaining man of the match with his equaliser and solid defensive display.
But whilst Ihiekwe stole the headlines, there was one man who proved himself worthy to pull on a Sheffield Wednesday shirt, and that was league debutant, Pierce Charles.

Anthony Elanga lauds Pierce Charles
Charles, who has played twice this week for club and country – received notable praise from Premier League superstar, Anthony Elanga.
Northern Ireland played Sweden in midweek, and the Nottingham Forest forward bagged one of five that was put past Charles between the sticks.
Despite shipping five, Elanga knows the 19-year-old goalkeeper is an “amazing” prospect.
“I know a few of the players, Ethan Galbraith who I played with at [Manchester] United, the Charles brothers [who were products of the Manchester City youth system]”, Elanga told the BBC.
He continued: “He [Pierce] is an amazing goalkeeper by the way, he’s got a bright future.”

Pierce Charles was solid against Cardiff
Charles, on his Championship debut, was brilliant between the sticks – and that was reflected in his stats on the day.

Bear in mind – this was a league debut – for a 19-year-old. For a baptism of fire in the English Football League, Charles well and truly held his own.
With James Beadle set to return to Brighton & Hove Albion come the end of the season, Charles could be in genuine contention to be the Owls first choice goalkeeper next season.
Rohl may as well play him to the end of the season, without much to play for – what have they got to lose?
