Blackburn Rovers fans all make same point as Tyrhys Dolan transfer to Middlesbrough mooted

Tyrhys Dolan is a wanted man going into the summer transfer window and Blackburn Rovers fans have now had their say.

Blackburn Rovers had a strong start to the season but lost their way somewhat after John Eustace left for Derby County.

He was permanently replaced by Valerien Ismael, and Rovers dropped down the table early in Ismael’s stint in the dugout.

Blackburn did find form at the very end of the season but it wasn’t enough to get them into the play-offs, finishing seventh, two points off the top-six.

Blackburn Rovers point toward money for Tyrhys Dolan transfer

We understood that Dolan will be leaving Ewood Park for free, and talks over a switch to the Riverside Stadium have already taken place.

The news has since been picked up by Blackburn fans, who point toward money as the reason for him leaving.

One fan wrote: “Boro pay big wages so will probably double if not treble his wages.”

Another stated: “All about the money, money, money!!!”

“Money talks,” a third Blackburn supporter simply replied.

A fourth wrote: “He’s under the influence of his agent who sees a big pay day. Anderson over again.”

While another Rovers fan claimed: “Whatever wages he wants, he’ll get them there, pay big.”

He has scored seven goals and assisted six in 47 outings across all competitions.

In terms of a potential wage increase should he move to Middlesbrough, it’s reported by Capology that the average salary of a player at the Riverside in 2024/25 is £14,442-a-week.

That figure dips when looking at Blackburn’s average, which sits at £10,556-a-week,
