More games are on the way in the Championship tomorrow night, with Millwall vs Bristol City one to watch as two inconsistent teams go head-to-head.
It’s straight back to Championship duty for Alex Neil’s Millwall side, who were humbled by Crystal Palace in the FA Cup over the weekend and ended up on the wrong end of a 3-1 defeat.
Bristol City, meanwhile, have had some time off. The Robins haven’t played since their home win over Middlesbrough on February 21.
So, will the fresh legs in Liam Manning’s side prevail, or can the Lions bounce back from their cup exit? It’s a tough one to call, but it seems there can only be one winner in this middle of the table clash.

Championship experts back Millwall to pile on misery for Bristol City
Discussing the fixture on the Championship Check-In podcast, both Benjamin Bloom and Sam Parkin were in agreement that Millwall can pick up a big three points at The Den, with one key issue holding Bristol City back.
Parkin said: “I fancy Millwall in this one. I think because of Bristol City’s woes away from home, and Millwall have done brilliantly with seven points in the last three, back to back home wins, I’m going to go… a goal in each half, Millwall 2-0 win.”
Bristol City have not won in their last nine away games, with five draws and four defeats on the road. You have to go all the way back to November to find their last win away from Ashton Gate — a 2-0 victory over Norwich City at Carrow Road.
Bloom added: “I totally agree, I am backing against Bristol City’s away form. I will go for Millwall… I will give Bristol City a goal, Millwall 2-1 Bristol City.”

If Millwall do get the three points on Tuesday night, they will move to within just one point of Bristol City, who currently sit three places above them in the table in ninth place.

Bristol City have plenty to play for, but they have to fix away form ASAP
In many ways, Bristol City could be pushing for promotion this season. They’re not far off the play-off places as it stands, and if they were to beat Millwall, only goal difference would separate the Robins and sixth-placed West Brom.
They’ve quietly and efficiently remained in and around that play-off fight all season, but it seems their dreadful away form will be their undoing in the long-run.

Manning has got his team well-organised, and while the football may not be all that entertaining, it is clearly effective, especially at home.
You have to imagine that, with one or two additions in the summer, plus a stronger spirit on the road, we could see Bristol City really challenging among the top six next season.
