Derby County return home to Pride Park on Saturday afternoon as they welcome Coventry City to the East Midlands.
Just five months ago, Frank Lampard was left frustrated at the Pride Park pitch as the Sky Blues were beaten 2-0 by the Rams as they went on a four-game winning run in the Championship.
It was not the best of starts to the season for either side at the weekend, with Coventry being held to a 0-0 draw by Hull City, while John Eustace’s team were beaten 3-1 away to Stoke City.
Nevertheless, the two now have the opportunity to get their first league victory of the campaign and Derby may have one key advantage over their opponents.
Coventry City have not beaten Derby County at Pride Park since 2003
The Rams completed the double over Coventry last season, with their 2-1 victory at the CBS Arena leading to the dismissal of Mark Robins.

They then backed up that win with all three points at Pride Park thanks to goals from Matt Clarke and Marcus Harness. However, for supporters in the away end that evening, it was a very familiar feeling.
Coventry have not beaten Derby at Pride Park since 2003, losing four of the 10 clashes there since they registered their last three points in DE24.
Nevertheless, there will be hopes that after a difficult opening day for the Rams, Lampard’s side can put their opponents to the sword and finally break their 22-year duck in the East Midlands in the lunchtime kick-off on Saturday.

There is not much to split the Rams and the Sky Blues throughout history
Although Derby have often found themselves the more dominant side in terms of results at Pride Park, throughout the entire history of this fixture, there is not much to split the two teams.
The Rams have won 34 of the 86 clashes compared to the 30 that Coventry have claimed victory in, while 22 games have ended in a draw.

They first met in November 1921, with Derby running out 1-0 winners at the Baseball Ground, and the club from the East Midlands went on to win nine of the first 11 contests, with the Sky Blues tasting victory just once.
However, after Coventry were left heartbroken in the play-off semi-finals last season against Sunderland, they will be looking to start their top six push on Saturday with all three points.
