Coventry City star Jack Rudoni has spoken highly about his boss and the Frank Lampard-esque things he does in training.
Coventry City face off against Sunderland on Friday evening at the CBS Arena, with both sides vying for a spot in the Championship play-off final.
After such a poor start to the season, the job that Frank Lampard has done to get the Sky Blues into the Championship play-off places reflects the incredible impact he has had on the current crop of players.
Whether it is the star power in attacking finally clicking, with Haji Wright playing a crucial role in the final third, or the midfield options providing an extra dimension when going forward, there is no doubt that Lampard can take credit for such a transformation, and this has even been recognised by a set of the players.

Coventry City man Jack Rudoni praises Frank Lampard for influence and training work
This season, Jack Rudoni has played like a Frank Lampard 2.0, as seen from his brilliant goals and assists record from midfield for Coventry City.
After the seismic improvement that Rudoni has undergone to become one of the leading midfielders at Championship level, it is no surprise to see that Lampard’s influence has rubbed off on the 23-year-old.
As would be expected, Lampard still has plenty in his locker, and Rudoni is able to learn plenty from the former Chelsea man, and one of England’s best ever midfielders.
“I’ve learned a lot in the short time working with him,” Rudoni said to the BBC.
“[We] work together on the pitch, and he helps me with goal scoring and getting into the area with different types of finishes.”
“I had a real eagerness to learn everything off him. He’s done everything in the game, and he’s the best at it from midfield.
“He was my favourite player growing up. There’s no one better to work with, especially with finishing.
“It’s just good it’s coming out into the games now – I’m starting to reap the rewards of the hard work on the training pitch.
“He came in, brought a real structure to the team, and we stopped conceding silly goals.
“He gives us clarity every game we go into so we know exactly the game plan, exactly what we’re doing, and we just have to carry it out.
“We practise it on the training pitch and he gives us forward players licence to go and create and win games.”

Frank Lampard influence on Coventry side has been crucial this season
When Lampard joined Coventry City, they found themselves 17th in the Championship table, two points above the relegation places.
Because of Lampard’s previous record at both Chelsea and Everton, with both spells proving to be rather unsuccessful, the coach’s appointment was reflected negatively by many, but he has proved doubters wrong with his ability to get the very best levels out of his squad.
Now they find themselves with an opportunity to reach the Premier League, with an out-of-form Sunderland side providing the first hurdle for Lampard’s side.
As we have seen this season, you can never write off this Coventry side, who, at times, were never in the play-off conversation. They have proven many wrong to get to this stage, and ultimately that comes down to Lampard’s introduction, one which has paid off spectacularly.
