Leicester City were beaten by Preston North End on Saturday afternoon, but positive headlines still emerged for the Foxes.
Preston North End beat Leicester City 2-1 this weekend in another disappointing result for the Foxes.
Marti Cifuentes’ side beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 on opening weekend, but shockingly lost on penalties to Huddersfield Town in the first round of the Carabao Cup in mid-week.
Ahead of the game, Foxes’ fears regarding their star playmaker came to light as Bilal El Khannouss’ ‘priority’ to join Crystal Palace emerged.
El Khannouss failed to score for the Foxes, with Jeremy Monga stepping up to equalise for Leicester, with a goal which broke a Championship record held by Jude Bellingham.

Leicester City starlet Jeremy Monga breaks Jude Bellingham’s Championship record
Alfie Devine scored an early goal for Preston which took Paul Heckingbottom’s side into the interval one goal to the good.
Within the second half, Foxes starlet Monga was introduced in place of Stephy Mavididi just before the hour mark.
Ten minutes later, Monga scored to equalise for the Foxes, and at the same time, became the youngest-ever goalscorer in Championship history.
Monga, aged 16 years and 37 days old, scored his first senior goal for Leicester against Preston to best Bellingham’s first Birmingham goal, scored when he was 16 years and 63 days old.
Monga also became Leicester’s youngest-ever goalscorer by beating Dave Buchanan’s record by 202 days with his strike against Preston.
Unfortunately for Monga, the afternoon was marred by Milutin Osmajic’s 85th-minute winner which saw the Foxes suffer their first Championship defeat of the season.

Leicester City fans will hope for more goals from Jeremy Monga
Leicester fans were delighted by Monga’s new deal, which came earlier in the summer to see the teenager sign his first professional contract with the Foxes.
EFL Analysis exclusively revealed this summer that Monga turned down Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester City, as well as European elite in Barcelona and PSG, to stay with Leicester.
Against Preston, Monga scored with his only shot of the game, recorded an 88 percent pass accuracy, and enjoyed four touches in the opposition box.
Considering that Birmingham retired Bellingham’s number 22 shirt in honour of his service to the Blues, it remains to be seen whether Monga can reach the lofty heights of the Real Madrid maestro.
In the here and now, however, Monga’s importance to the Foxes’ season will continue to be crucial, despite the youngster’s age.
