Michael Carrick spoke to the media after his Middlebrough side clashed with Blackburn Rovers on Friday.
Fresh off the back of a 2-1 win over Oxford United, Boro were looking to get their play-off charge back on track.
Dropped points from Coventry City and West Brom last time out opened the door for the Teesiders to move inside the top-six until at least Saturday.
After picking up a victory last time out, Michael Carrick opted not to make any changes to his starting eleven.
Rav van den Berg and Riley McGree were welcome additions back on the bench, but it was much of the same from Middlesbrough.
When all was said and done, Middlesbrough beat Blackburn to climb back inside the top six.

Michael Carrick message after Middlesbrough Blackburn Rovers
It took less than two minutes for Boro to take the lead, with Tommy Conway scoring himself a Dennis Bergkamp-esque strike.
Middlesbrough made it 2-0 with eight minutes of the clock, thanks to Samuel Iling-Junior’s deflected shot.
Boro fans were quick to praise Kelechi Iheanacho for his role in both goals, with the striker having turned a corner in the club’s last two league matches.
Following the tie, Carrick spoke to the media and was quick to play down expectations after Boro climbed back into the top-six for the first time since January.
Speaking live to Sky Sports on Friday evening, he said: “Let’s not get too carried away as well you know. There’s a lot to go, I’ve seen it before.
“I’m old enough and ugly enough to know kind of what the end of this season brings.
“Tonight was a good win for us, we know that we’ve got another big game on Tuesday night, and we’ll take each game as it comes, and at the moment, we’re in a good place.”

How Middlesbrough will handle play-off pressure
Boro might be fifth right now, but they could drop back down to seventh as early as Saturday evening.
Next up for the Teessiders is a meeting with Leeds United on Tuesday and when speaking to Sky, Carrick was asked about the pressure now surrounding that game.
He added: “I think it’s just naturally when it goes through from games in the weeks at this stage.
“Going back to my first answer that’s kind of how it is you know, we just want to keep focusing on what we can do, and recently, we’ve been doing ok; hopefully that carries on.”
