QPR and Charlton Athletic are both preparing for the upcoming Championship season, and in doing so they have been busy in the transfer market. Now the London clubs have been offered the chance to sign a Roma ace.
The first task for both clubs this campaign is to secure their Championship status for the following season.
QPR have appointed Julien Stephan for the upcoming season to replace Marti Cifuentes as manager, with the Spaniard sending an emotional farewell to the fans of the club.
They have been busy in the transfer market to this point, as QPR have already signed Kwame Poku and Amadou Mbengue.
Meanwhile, Charlton are due for a return to the Championship after a period stuck in League One, with the club arguably seeing Nathan Jones rejecting the approaches by Cardiff City as their biggest win this summer.
However, Charlton may now see the chance to beat London rivals QPR to the signing of a Roma ace as the next big win.

QPR and Charlton have been offered Roma starlet Kevin Zefi
Kevin Zefi has struggled to break into the first team at Roma since making his move to the Roma capital from Inter Milan in January 2024, and the underage Ireland star is looking for a move to England to revitalise his career.
As per information from our Chief Football Correspondent, Graeme Bailey, EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal that Charlton and QPR have been offered a ‘good deal’ to sign Zefi from Roma.
It is believed the Italian giants are ready to part ways with Zefi, offering him to several Championship clubs, be that on a loan or for very cheap with a huge sell-on clause in the contract.

Steve Bruce, who is in charge of League One side Blackpool, is said to be incredibly interested in acquiring Zefi, but it is believed he does not want to drop below the Championship.
Who is Kevin Zefi?
The 20-year-old began his career in his home city of Dublin as he joined Shamrock Rovers from his youth team, and he made 11 appearances across two seasons with the Irish side, making his debut at just 15 years old.
Zefi was then of interest to a number of clubs across Europe, with PSV and Inter Milan opting to join the Italian side.
He would struggle to break into the senior team despite impressing at youth level for Inter and so opted to join Roma in January 2024, turning down the chance to join Newcastle United.
Now he is ready to move to England after he struggled with a number of things in Italy, admitting to the Irish Independent he has suffered racism during his period away from Ireland, helping in his decision to leave.
He said: “Obviously, I came in as an Irish kid, half-Albanian as well, and racism starts to kick in. You just have to be strong mentally. There were a couple of incidents.
“When you’re playing well, you let it slide, you have a joke back, but when you’re not doing so well, it hurts. [It was] opposition players, some of your own players talking behind your back and thinking you don’t understand [what they are saying]. ‘You Irish, you Albanian [so and so], that type of stuff.”
