The 2025 Championship play-off final between Sunderland and Sheffield United has been decided by a supercomputer.
One of the biggest games in English football is set to play out on Saturday, May 24.
Sheffield United beat Bristol City 6-0 over two legs to book their place in the Championship play-off final.
Sunderland advanced past Frank Lampard’s Coventry City after Dan Ballard’s 123rd-minute header in the second leg of their semi-final.
An estimated £240m is now on the line for both Sheffield United and Sunderland as they look to join Leeds United and Burnley in the Premier League, and the favourite for the clash has now been revealed by a supercomputer.

Sheffield United have been sent a warning over one of the Black Cats’ stars as well, but the North East outfit are going into Saturday’s meeting as underdogs, at least according to Opta.
They have used their supercomputer to predict the winner of the showpiece this weekend and it’s good news for the Blades.
Sunderland have a 26.5 percent chance of winning the fixture across 90 minutes of football.
However, Sheffield United are the clear favourites according to the supercomputer, with a 49.4 percent chance of lifting the trophy in normal time.
