Tom Cleverley to remain as Watford manager

EFL Analysis expert Graeme Bailey has confirmed that, despite the change in agent, Cleverley will remain in charge and has no plans to leave.

Bailey confirmed that there is a strong relationship between the players and Cleverley, with the club prepared to back him heading into the summer.

Watford have plans to target the play-offs next season and any approach to prize him away would have to be a very attractive opportunity.

Tom Cleverley thinks he has become ‘a better coach’ in Watford tenure

Although it’s been a poor end to the Championship season with the Hornets – winning one of their last eight games.

After losing to Blackburn Rovers, Cleverley was asked to reflect on the season and the 35-year-old believes he has improved.

“I certainly feel like I’m a better coach now than I was when we were flying and in the play-off places,” he admitted.

“So if you look at strategy and process then for sure I am the right guy to take us forward.

“It’s going to be a demanding one, it’s going to be a tough one, but success isn’t given for free in this league.”
