Watford have had a disastrous start to the season, and while they sit just outside of the relegation zone for now, they are on a downward trend.
The Hornets were beaten 1-0 at The Den on Monday evening, and it could have been worse, with Alex Neil believing that Millwall deserved a penalty after Kevin Keben appeared to drag Macaulay Langstaff down in the box.
Watford supporters want to see Paulo Pezzolano sacked, and with only goal difference keeping the Hertfordshire outfit out of the bottom three for now, action may have to be taken soon.
EFL Analysis has been provided exclusive information about the Uruguayan’s future at Vicarage Road.
Paulo Pezzolano is working on limited time at Watford
It’s been a difficult start to life in England for Pezzolano, but after the controversial sacking of Tom Cleverley in the summer, he knows time may already be running out.

Our Chief Football Correspondent, Graeme Bailey, has told EFL Analysis the internal thoughts of those at Watford regarding the job security of the head coach. He said: “Watford are not frightened to make a change, are they? Which can work in their favour sometimes.
“That squad is far better than what it’s showing. Kayembe, Louza, obviously Irankunda, who is one of the best talents in the league; on paper it’s a near-playoff-calibre squad. It’s just not performing anywhere near what it should be.
“Pezzolano will know he’s on a knife’s edge really. He’ll be out before Christmas if he doesn’t get it right soon, and he probably hasn’t got much time left to prove himself.
“Watford do get criticised for these changes but they’re not frightened to make them and they do have a good record of these appointments. So if they don’t think it’s working they will make a change. I think the pressure is on him.”
Paulo Pezzolano has to start winning Championship games soon
The Hornets started the campaign on the back foot, as Charlton Athletic returned to the Championship with a 1-0 win at The Valley.
A week later, Watford picked up their only win of the season so far, beating QPR 2-1 at Vicarage Road. However, since then, they have struggled for form and they’ve picked up just two more points in their last four matches.

Hull City, who are working under a transfer fee ban, are their next opponents before the Hornets face a mid-week trip to Portsmouth.
Oxford United then make the trip to Hertfordshire as the Championship pauses for the second international break of the season and Pezzolano will know that these games are vital for his Watford future.
