Preston North End have completed their first signing of the season and it’s one that supporters are buzzing about.
A terrible second half of the season saw the Lilywhites brought into a relegation scrap but they were able to survive by the skin of their teeth and confirm their place in the Championship.
Paul Heckingbottom will be keen to avoid a repeat of that again and has been busy assembling a squad ready to perform to a much better standard than they have in the season just gone.
But, even though the transfer window doesn’t officially open until July 1, their first arrival has been confirmed.

Daniel Iversen becomes Preston’s first signing of the summer after Leicester City departure
Daniel Iversen is fondly remembered by Preston fans for his two loan spells and calls for him to return on a permanent deal have been a constant topic since his last spell at Deepdale in 2022.
However, after being released by Leicester City, Iversen has chosen to return to the club where he enjoyed the best spell of his career, signing a four-year deal.
He will officially join in July and can’t wait to get started.
“I love it here. It’s the most I’ve been happy. Preston is where I’ve played my best football,” he told the club’s official website.
“Preston feels like home for me. Everyone around the club are good people and the fans are too. I just love it here so it’s a no brainer for me to come back.”
