Gerhard Struber is set to begin his Bristol City tenure away at Bramall Lane against Sheffield United in their Championship opener.
The new Robins boss will hope to bring to an end their tough recent record against the Blades, having not won in their last nine fixtures against Sheffield United.
Bristol City will be looking to build on their season from last year, as they reached the play-offs; however, it was a disappointing end to the campaign, as they lost the semi-final to Sheffield United.
It will be the first time that Gerhard Struber will have ever encountered Sheffield United, considering the Blades were in the Premier League when he was managing Barnsley.
This could be pivotal to Bristol City ending their winless run against the Blades, as Struber enters this fixture with a fresh view and with none of the previous baggage from other managers.

Gerhard Struber on his tactical approach to the season
Speaking to BBC Radio Bristol for a live interview on ‘Sound of the City’ to discuss the upcoming campaign, Struber opened up on a number of topics in his hour-long discussion.
As reported by Bristol Live, the previous manager, Liam Manning, received some criticism for his solitary approach to football.
However, Struber has addressed this and how he intends to have Bristol City play regarding their tactical shape and approach.
He said: “I don’t want to only be with one system.

“I want to be very fluid in how we press against someone and also how we come into possession. Of course, I want to bring my players into a position where they can have the biggest outcome.
“This could be in some moments with one striker, but also in some moments with two strikers or two 10s.
“Right now, it’s a back three, but it can also be a back four, so in the next few weeks and the next few months, we want to create with our team a flexible set-up so also, the opponent has a bit of a topic when Bristol City are coming, that they’re not always clear which system they’re playing.
“It mustn’t always be magic football, but magic effort.
“They should play football with a big, big heart, of course, with a good balance with the brain, but at the same time, with a big heart and bravery.”
Where Bristol City will finish this season
There is excitement building for this new-look Bristol City under Struber, and this leads to predictions along with hope and expectations.
Bristol World have taken that and asked where the Robins will finish this season by asking ChatGPT for its predictions of where every Championship team will finish this campaign.
Bristol City fans will have hoped that the AI programme would have predicted the club to finish in the play-offs, particularly after last season and their achievement.
However, it has predicted that the Robins will finish seventh and outside the play-offs, with Wrexham snatching the last top-six position this season.
