The away side Carlisle put on a solid performance in the first half against Swindon on Saturday and were up 2-1 by half time. Swindon couldn’t find a way back into the game and Carlisle won the England League Two game 2-1 (2-1).
Carlisle started the match best and took the lead early when Joe Riley scored after 13 minutes, making it 1-0.
Swindon equalised to make it 1-1 after half an hour’s play as Romoney Crichlow-Noble scored.
Carlisle took the lead just before the half-time whistle as Tristan Abrahams scored. The second half was goalless and the match ended with a 2-1 win for Carlisle.
Carlisle got their first win of the season and are on four points. Swindon have three points after two rounds of fixtures.
The teams play again on Tuesday, with Swindon hosting Tranmere and Carlisle hosting Port Vale.
