The 2-1 (2-1) win away sealed the series in the Euro quarterfinals for Italy against Belgium. The result means Italy won 1-0 games.

There was no real shape to the match until the visitors Italy took the lead just after the half-hour mark through Nicolo Barella, who scored, with an assist by Marco Verratti, making it 0-1.

The team increased the lead to 0-2 just before the half-time whistle as Lorenzo Insigne scored.

Straight after the break, Romelu Lukaku scored and reduced the score for Belgium. But Belgium ran out of steam. This brought the final score to 1-2.
