Blackpool appear to have won the race to sign Dale Taylor from Nottingham Forest.
After excelling in League One last season with Wigan Athletic, the Seasiders have been in competition with a host of clubs to sign the forward.
Taylor bagged 11 goals in the 2024/25 campaign and was crowned Wigan’s player of the season.
Alan Nixon revealed that Blackpool beat Plymouth Argyle to sign Taylor and a former coach’s verdict suggests they’ve got a real talent.

Nottingham Forest legend said Dale Taylor will ‘go a long way’
Gary Brazil is a legend at Nottingham Forest and developed a reputation for bringing through plenty of talent at the City Ground.
One of those he worked with at the Forest academy was Taylor and back in 2022, he predicted a bright future for the Northern Ireland international.
He wrote: “Big @NFFC future ahead for Dale. Strong, quick, intelligent and has an eye for goal. Lots of hard work ahead for our outstanding
“@NFFCAcademy PDP staff to deliver but he has the drive and character to go a long way in the game.”
Dale Taylor can fire Blackpool to League One glory
This season will see League One look more competitive than ever and Blackpool are doing their promotion chances no harm at all by adding the likes of Taylor.
Steve Bruce has been around the block and needs players with the know-how and experience of playing under that pressure.
Two productive loan spells in League One have set Taylor up well and the 21-year-old, paired with Niall Ennis, could be a force to be reckoned with.
