EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal that Queens Park Rangers face a mammoth task to keep hold of their teenage starlet Lorent Talla this summer with several clubs keen on the forward.
Queens Park Rangers will finish the 2024/25 Championship final day safe from relegation, but without head coach Marti Cifuentes, who has been placed on gardening leave amid links with West Brom.
QPR have endured an average campaign this season, never looking like real relegation candidates but also failing to impact the top half of the Championship table, in Cifuentes’ second season in charge.
Not only is the Spanish head coach rumoured to be departing Loftus Road this summer, but teenage starlet Lorent Talla could also be on his way, with his “serious potential” not going unnoticed in the second tier, and on the continent.
EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal the host of sides in Europe who are interested in landing 20-year-old Talla’s signature in the approaching summer window.

Championship and Ligue 1 clubs amongst those interested in QPR starlet Lorent Talla
Kosovan international Talla penned his first professional contract with the R’s last June, with the attacking midfielder granted the chance to impress Cifuentes last summer in the pre-season.
However, injuries have hampered his development at QPR and limited Talla to just one first-team appearance, coming in the 3-2 FA Cup defeat against Bournemouth last term.
Talla has registered three assists in six outings for QPR’s Under-21s this season, but given his lofty potential and that he’s entering the final year of his current R’s deal with no sign of extension imminent, transfer interest in the youngster is ramping up ahead of the summer window.
EFL Analysis understands thanks to information from our transfer expert Graeme Bailey, that Welsh giants Swansea City and recently-relegated Cardiff City are both keen on Queens Park Rangers forward Lorent Talla.
The 20-year-old has been with the R’s since he was 12-years-old, but he now looks set for a move this summer.
EFL Analysis are told that a number of Championship clubs have shown an interest in Talla, and they include both relegated Cardiff and their rivals Swansea.
Sources confirm to EFL Analysis that Talla is also on the radar of Chelsea-owned BlueCo, who see him as an ideal capture for their French side Strasbourg.
Strasbourg are not the only Ligue 1 side, with Reims also amongst those who have shown an interest.
Talla is thought to be open to the idea of departing the West London club.

Lorent Talla’s QPR record by numbers ahead of potential summer transfer window
After Talla signed his first professional deal for the R’s, CEO Christian Nourry explained to QPR.co.uk: “Lorent has worked extremely hard to make this step and has serious potential as a number 10.
“Upon my arrival, he was rapidly identified as a player with the necessary attributes to push on. But the hardest work is still ahead of him.”

Talla’s appearance numbers for the R’s have been hampered by his long-term injury suffered two years ago, which has stalled his career.
The inventive midfielder, when fit and firing, is a player to get supporters off their seats in excitement and has proven he is on course to repair his rate of development.
Registering three assists in six outings for QPR’s Under-21s highlights Talla’s creative spark that will be of interest to the host of clubs keen on his services this summer.
