Derby County have had a tremendous summer transfer window, and with a few hours to go until the 7pm deadline, there is one major focus at Pride Park.
There have been 13 arrivals this summer in DE24, while Kane Wilson has become the most recent player to depart. However, there are still a number of players who John Eustace needs to let go of.
The 25-man squad that the Rams’ head coach has at his disposal is a little bit overloaded at the minute, and he has to lose some more of those playing staff before the window shuts.
Derby are looking to move up the Championship table after the international break, and for one current member of the squad, he may have just watched his final game as a Ram.

Derby County prepare to lose Ben Osborn to Stockport County
Ben Osborn arrived back in the East Midlands last summer, joining the Rams from Sheffield United after his contract came to an end.

A Derby fan as a youngster, the midfielder had made a name for himself at Nottingham Forest, before earning a move to the Blades in 2019 – making 61 appearances in the top flight. Yet now, he is set to move to Stockport County in League One.
That’s according to Pete O’Rourke, who has reported that the Hatters are set to win the race for the 31-year-old, who is yet to make a Championship appearance this season.
He has played twice in the Carabao Cup, with Derby losing to Burnley in the second round last Tuesday thanks to a late Oliver Sonne goal.

It has not worked out for Ben Osborn and the Rams
As a boyhood Rams supporter, there were perhaps hopes that Osborn could return to his hometown club and become a hero.
However, injuries have made it tough for the midfielder to find form and he has been forced to play a supporting role for the majority of his time in black-and-white.

A move to Stockport is the best way for the former Nottingham Forest ace to get the consistent game time that he needs in a division that he has no previous experience of playing in, as the Hatters look to win promotion.
Experience will be crucial for the Greater Manchester side this season, and Osborn has that in abundance. Therefore, a move just makes sense.
