Middlesbrough are expected to part ways with Hayden Hackney in the summer transfer window.

Boro’s disappointing 2024/25 came to an end with the club sitting 10th in the Championship, their lowest finish under Michael Carrick.

We reported earlier in the year that Hayden Hackney would leave Middlesbrough if the club failed to make the play-offs.

EFL Analysis have since learned Hackney is the most likely Boro exit this summer despite interest in the likes of Finn Azaz and Rav van den Berg.

This is because any money made from the sale of the midfielder would be 100 percent profit due to him coming up from the academy.

Replacing a player of Hackney’s quality will not be easy, but one player the club like is now expected to move this summer.

Tyler Morton expected to leave Liverpool

Tyler Morton was linked to the Teessiders during the January 2025 transfer window.

A move did not come to pass, with his asking price thought to be quite steep.

Despite no transfer happening over the winter, we understand he is still a player Middlesbrough like.

Now, The Athletic have provided a future update on the midfielder this week, along with two other stars.

They reported that Morton, along with Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams, is expected to leave Anfield this summer in search of a fresh challenge.
