After what has felt like months of negotiating and interest, Derby County have finally got their hands on Lewis Travis.
The Rams have been targeting the Blackburn Rovers midfielder for a number of months now, and John Eustace has reunited with the midfielder following their stint together at Ewood Park, signing a four-year deal.
He also reunites with Andreas Weimann, Danny Batth, Dion Sanderson and Owen Beck, with the current Derby head coach turning to his former club for a number of new signings this summer.
Fans will be extremely excited to see Travis in the team, and he may just make his debut against Ipswich Town on Saturday, a club that he won promotion to the Premier League with in 2023/24 while on loan.
Lewis Travis officially joins Derby County from Blackburn Rovers
It’s been a busy summer for the Rams, and with Max Johnston also on his way to the club, this final week of the transfer window has the potential to be an exciting one.

Travis informed Valerien Ismael of his desire to join Derby just a couple of weeks ago, and since then he has not been involved at Blackburn.
Todd Cantwell was handed the captaincy at Ewood Park, and Rovers will be hoping that his run of form continues after scoring in a 3-0 win over Hull City on Saturday.
Nevertheless, for Derby, they have finally got their man, and he completes Eustace’s midfield, although wingers are still very much needed in DE24.
Competition for the midfield positions will be rife at Pride Park
After Liam Thompson was handed a new deal by the Rams and David Ozoh returned on loan, there is no denying that Eustace has a plethora of options in the middle of the park.
Ebou Adams will also be battling Travis for a place in the team, as will Kenzo Goudmijn. However, this is the exact sort of headache that the head coach will want after a lack of depth in midfield last season.

Derby have not started well by any means, but as the new signings start to settle and players return from injury, they could well be a threat in the weeks to come.
Nonetheless, the arrival of Travis is the exact boost that the Rams need heading into their next away game against Ipswich on Saturday afternoon.
