Southampton are facing the prospect of losing two of their star players in the shape of Tyler Dibling and Mateus Fernandes.

Tyler Dibling has been the subject of serious interest from Everton, with the Premier League club reportedly being told the exact offer they need to provide to sign the player.

Meanwhile, West Ham have sent a £30 million bid to Southampton for Mateus Fernandes, with it being rejected by the club as they hope to see a fee closer to £50 million.

This has meant that the Saints have had to start preparing to replace the players, with the club enquiring about the services of Coventry City’s Jack Rudoni.

Now, another player has made it clear that Southampton have sent a £10.5 million bid to acquire his services with this potentially having a knock-on impact for the future of Mateus Fernandes.

Eduard Spertsyan is set to seriously consider Southampton’s offer

FC Krasnodar’s midfielder Eduard Spertsyan has been the subject of interest from Southampton for a while now, with it previously being thought that it may be difficult to sign the midfielder due to external circumstances with Russia.

However, it has been reported by the Southern Daily Echo that Southampton have tabled a £10.5 million bid to Krasnodar.

Spertsyan addressed the links to Southampton after a 4-0 win over Dinamo Moscow with Russian media; however, the 25-year-old was coy on his decision.

The Armenian international admitted he will speak with club president Sergey Galitsky before talks with the Championship side can progress.

He said: “It’s too early to talk about a transfer to Southampton, but it’s serious; there is an offer.

“I will soon go to Krasnodar and talk to the president. We will see what decision we will make together.”

Spertsyan is the next Kevin De Bruyne

Eduard Spertsyan was once the interest of Ajax, with their former director Sven Mislintat being a huge fan of the player.

According to Public Radio of Armenia, they said that Mislintat was full of praise for Spertsyan in De Telegraaf.

He said: “It wasn’t about his abilities, but that he plays in Russia.

“He could’ve been at Ajax, similar to what De Bruyne is at Man City. A special player; you can’t find someone like him for this amount of money.”

Should Southampton have their bid for Spertsyan accepted it is easy to see that he would come in to fill the position Mateus Fernandes would vacate should he move to West Ham or Atletico Madrid.
