Southampton are gearing themselves for a promotion challenge in the 2025/26 season, and EFL Analysis can reveal the chances of Will Still holding onto jet-heeled winger Tyler Dibling.
Southampton suffered relegation from the Premier League last term in disastrous fashion, almost breaking Derby County’s record low tally of points.
It was a season of rare positives for the Saints, but one shining light was electric winger Tyler Dibling, who burst onto the scene with 33 appearances in the top flight, including a dazzling performance against Manchester United.
As a result, there was no surprise that some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs registered an interest in the 19-year-old, with Southampton slapping an eye-watering £100m price tag on his head in March.
Now that the South Coast side are preparing for a campaign in the Championship, naturally, there will be speculation over Dibling’s future.

Tottenham ‘very keen’ on Tyler Dibling as Southampton set £50m price tag
Typically, when a club suffers relegation from the Premier League, the cost of players can plummet, and this is the case with Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town.
Unsurprisingly, interest in Dibling is mounting as the transfer window develops, and EFL Analysis understands that Tottenham are ‘very keen’ on the Englishman, joining the likes of Manchester United, West Ham and Nottingham Forest in their admiration.
As per information from our Chief Football Correspondent, Graeme Bailey, we can also reveal that Southampton value the winger at around £50 million.
Bailey adds that Will Still would like ‘the opportunity to work’ with the player, and ‘there’s a reasonable chance’ he could stay if he believes his side can finish in the top two this season.
So, with Southampton one of the favourites for promotion and currently assembling a quality squad, keeping Dibling would be a huge boost.

Why Dibling should stay at Southampton
Admittedly, the Premier League is an appealing destination for the Saints academy graduate, and anyone in his position would be desperate to return.
But, at the age of just 19, the importance of playing regular first-team football cannot be overstated, something he’s guaranteed at St Mary’s.
The electric wide man wouldn’t have that privilege if he did join a club like Tottenham this summer, who are stacked with options on the wing.
Dibling should showcase his talent at Championship level for a season, and then assess his options next summer, depending on whether promotion is won.
