One previously struggling Millwall player may have hit a turning point in his career following the win away at Norwich City.
Millwall have got off to the perfect start in their 2025/26 Championship season after a victory against Norwich City.
The Lions put in a brilliant display at Carrow Road, and found themselves in front after a goal from Camiel Neghli in the early stages of the second half.
Norwich City levelled just four minutes later after Canaries forward Josh Sargent put pressure on Steven Benda, with the ball ricocheting into the net.
Millwall weren’t necessarily dominant, but they were showing plenty of quality in possession, and that paid off after Macaulay Langstaff bagged what would prove to be the winner against Norwich City.
It could prove to be a crucial goal for Millwall, and Langstaff, who, after a difficult season at The Den, could finally kick on.

Millwall striker Macaulay Langstaff may have turned Lions career around with goal
Last season saw Macaulay Langstaff struggle to live up to the heights he had previously set at both Notts County and Gateshead in League Two and National League, respectively, with the jump up to the Championship appearing to be a hurdle for the forward.
The 28-year-old scored just one goal last season – a stark contrast to his 28 bagged in the 2023/24 League Two campaign.
However, Langstaff looked rejuvenated when he came on for Millwall in the final 10 minutes, showing plenty of energy and dynamism, with a goal to show for his efforts.
There is still a long road ahead until Langstaff becomes a proven Championship forward, but the result against Norwich City and his mini cameo show that he is more up to speed this season.

What Richard Langley said about Macaulay Langstaff’s goal vs Norwich City
Former pro Richard Langley, who notably played for both QPR and Cardiff City, was on comms for Millwall’s win on the BBC, and he was full of praise for Macaulay Langstaff after his winning goal.
“It’s top attacking play.
“Macaulay Langstaff comes short, springs the offside trap, and he slots it in.
“A lovely finish. Fantastic composure to slip it between the keeper’s legs.”
Langley then highlighted the importance of such a moment for Langstaff, who has now scored two goals across two seasons in the Championship.
“It’s such an important goal for him. You can see with his movement, he’s causing problems for this Norwich team.
“This could be the perfect away performance from Alex Neil and his men.”
It is no secret that Langstaff possesses an incredible ability in front of goal and hopefully this is the start of a rejuvenation in form.
