Tyler Dibling earned his first Everton start against Wolves on Tuesday night in the Carabao Cup.
The former Southampton star recorded 38 appearances in all competitions last season in the club’s ill-fated top flight campaign.
However, after Everton paid £42m for Dibling in the summer, the winger has been limited to substitute appearances in Merseyside thus far.
Finally given a chance from the off by Toffees manager David Moyes, the 19-year-old failed to make a good impression.

Tyler Dibling struggles against Wolves on first start for Everton
Everton fell to a 2-0 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup third round, while his former side Southampton lost 2-1 at Liverpool.
Marshall Munetsi broke the deadlock for Wolves after half an hour before Tolu Arokodare doubled their lead with minutes to spare.
Toffees boss Moyes started Dibling on the right, but the 19-year-old failed to make any notable impact on proceedings.
According to Fotmob, Dibling lost the most duels (10) of any player during the match, highlighting that his youthful frame needs filling out to cope with the rigours of Premier League football.

In addition, Dibling failed to create any chances for his teammates and also failed to register a shot on target at Wolves keeper Sam Johnstone.
Moyes hooked Dibling just before the hour mark, replacing him with Iliman Ndiaye and calling time on his lacklustre first start for the Toffees.
Tyler Dibling may have made Southampton exit too early
After the Saints’ 3-1 defeat to Hull City, Will Still admitted that Southampton are struggling to score, with their lack of attacking spark evident.
With £12m summer Southampton signing Finn Azaz struggling for form, and full-back Ryan Manning being the club’s top league goalscorer so far, there may be a tinge of regret at St Mary’s about the Dibling exit.

On Dibling’s side, following his display for Everton against Wolves, the young Englishman may have played himself out of Moyes’ starting XI selection thoughts for the immediate future.
Dibling’s Southampton exit was emotional, given his years of association with the South Coast outfit.
As such, there’s an argument to be made that Dibling jumped the gun with his Premier League return, and that he would have been better off starring in the second tier in another season at Southampton to continue his development.
