Leicester City can make life even more miserable for West Brom by continuing 15-year record

Leicester City make a short trip across the Midlands to face West Bromwich Albion on Friday night.

Both sides have ambitions of promotion but haven’t won since returning from the international break, with Leicester drawing with Coventry City and West Brom losing away at Middlesbrough.

Despite those draws, the two are still firmly in the mix for the Championship play-off race.

The Foxes will fancy their chances at The Hawthorns, which has been a happy hunting ground for the visitors in recent years.

Leicester haven’t lost at The Hawthorns since 2010

There is a running joke among Leicester fans that West Brom away is a guaranteed three points.

History would suggest that is the case, with the Baggies’ last home win against Leicester coming back in 2010.

Jamie Vardy has been a huge part of the Leicester success in that period, scoring plenty of goals at The Hawthorns.

However, a new hero will have to step up to do the business while the task at hand for Ryan Mason is to stop the rot and finally break the 15-year curse.

Marti Cifuentes must drop Stephy Mavididi for West Brom clash

Stephy Mavididi will still be having nightmares about that missed opportunity against Coventry.

It was the sort of finish from a forward who is desperate to get off the mark for the season, and his performance overall suggested a lack of confidence.

16-year-old Jeremy Monga came off the bench and instantly looked more direct, taking on the full-back plenty of times.

Monga is raw and despite having plenty of media coverage, is still relatively unknown in terms of his style.

Bringing him in will give Mavididi a chance to take a break, but will also give the youngster a point to prove.
