One £15m attacker who previously struggled at Championship level has now found his feet in the Bundesliga after bagging a hat-trick.
The Championship can often provide a stern test for even the most promising of talents, with the physicality often causing concerns for several young stars.
That was the case with former West Brom, Sheffield United and Birmingham City attacker Oliver Burke, who was unable to perform at both Premier League and Championship level.
Burke, who signed for West Brom in 2017 for £15m, significantly struggled with the Baggies, scoring just once in 24 appearances in all competitions.
After failing to hit the mark in the Premier League with West Brom, as was the case with Sheffield United as well in the 2020/21 season, he then found himself at Millwall and then Birmingham City, having failed to score in 21 Championship appearances with the latter.
Despite struggling to make a mark in English football, he has hit back at the doubters with his recent actions in the Bundesliga.

Oliver Burke shines for Union Berlin in Bundesliga win against Frankfurt
After scoring just three goals for West Brom, Sheffield United and Birmingham City combined, Oliver Burke now finds himself shining in the Bundesliga, where he notched a hat-trick in a win against Frankfurt.
In his second start for the side located in Germany’s capital, the Scotsman bagged three goals in a 4-3 away Bundesliga win.
Following the win, the attacker was deservedly serenaded by his Union Berlin teammates and the supporters after playing a significant role in a historic victory.
This moment of brilliance for the now-28-year-old comes over eight years after he joined West Brom from RB Leipzig, having arrived at the Hawthorns for a reported £15m fee, according to the BBC.

Where Oli Burke ranks in West Brom’s record signings
As things stand, Oli Burke is still West Brom’s record transfer fee paid, with the Baggies not matching it in the eight years since.
In fact, none of West Brom’s top 10 fees paid have been after Burke’s arrival, with his failed signing clearly sparking a change of direction for the club.
Coming in second is Nacer Chadli, who arrived from Tottenham Hotspur for £13m, while Salomon Rondon joined from Zenit St Petersburg for £12m back in 2015.
Other notable signings include Jay Rodriguez for a hefty £10m fee from Southampton, while they also brought in Brown Ideye for the same amount back in 2014 from Dinamo Kyiv.
