Abdul Fatawu may have scored an early contender for goal of the season, with Leicester City fans serenading the ‘ridiculous’ talent.
Leicester City notched a vital win against Charlton Athletic, as the Foxes grabbed their second victory of the 2025/26 Championship campaign.

Leicester City struggled to hit the heights in the first half, but the brilliance of Abdul Fatawu gave them the lead with an incredible hit.
Such a strike managed to get the Foxes fans off their feet, but also left them dreading the worst.

What Leicester City fans said about Abdul Fatawu’s strike vs Charlton Athletic
Leicester City found themselves up against the cosh against Charlton Athletic at The Valley, which was proving to be a tough place to go for the Foxes.
They were struggling to find an opportunity against Nathan Jones’ side, but they could rely on a phenomenal goal from Abdul Fatawu to give them a lead against the newly-promoted side.
After picking up the ball on the right flank, Fatawu weaved into the box before dispatching a beautiful strike into the goalkeeper’s top right.
Reacting to the strike on social media, one Leicester City fan hailed the goal as ‘ridiculous’ as he showed that he is ‘too good for this level’.
Fans continued with their praise, as one said: “Fatawu at this level… absolute joke.”
He was then lauded as a ‘baller’ who Foxes fans are still perplexed that he still plays for them in the Championship.
The more pessimistic Leicester City supporters then labelled him as ‘the one player we must keep’, and ‘if we lose Abdul, we are done’.

Foxes could face a late barrage of interest in Abdul Fatawu
After a moment of excellence from Abdul Fatawu, it surely puts the Leicester City man further into the spotlight, especially during the transfer window.
During a game that was crying out for creativity for Marti Cifuentes’ side, Leicester City could turn to Fatawu to supply the quality that was fairly limited from the other Foxes forwards.
In truth, it was far from a perfect performance from Leicester City, and fans can be excused for thinking pessimistically about the future of Fatawu and what would happen if he were to move on.
