Middlesbrough are hoping to continue their brilliant start to the season by beating West Bromwich Albion.

Rob Edwards‘ side are unbeaten in the league after salvaging a stoppage-time draw against Preston North End but face a tough test against West Brom, who have made a great start themselves.

Under the watch of Ryan Mason, the Baggies have been excellent to watch and we are predicting a brilliant Championship game.

Many had written off Middlesbrough, but a win tonight could break a 28-year record.

Middlesbrough aiming to make it four wins in a row vs West Brom

Home advantage could be key in this early top of the table clash, and if previous results are anything to go by, Boro are the favourites.

As it stands, the Teesside giants have won their past three games against West Brom and a victory tonight would be the first time they have won four successive games against the Baggies in 28 years.

According to BBC Sport, this hasn’t been done since the years 1994 and 1997 and would only enhance Edwards’ relationship with fans even further.

Middlesbrough’s H2H record vs West Brom

Winning four on the trot will be no easy feat, however, as the recent run of fixtures suggest, Boro have the upper hand.

Unsurprisingly, it’s Middlesbrough who also hold the upper hand in the overall head-to-head meetings between the two.

Boro have won 45 of the encounters, whereas West Brom have been the victors on 36 occasions.
