Stats point to an obvious winner between Leicester City and Coventry City this weekend

Leicester City and Coventry City are set to face off against each other in the Championship this weekend, with both clubs looking to continue their fine early form this campaign.

The pair currently occupy positions in the play-off spots, with Leicester currently sitting fourth while Coventry are sixth.

Coventry are one of only two clubs still unbeaten in the Championship so far this season, with the other being Middlesbrough.

Both Leicester and Coventry will be confident that they can emerge victorious this weekend due to their fine form; however, the stats appear to point to only one winner when the pair square off this Saturday afternoon.

Leicester City will enter this weekend full of confidence due to their early-season form, and they will look to put their 2-2 draw last weekend against Oxford United behind them with a win against Coventry City.

Since then, the Foxes have been unbeaten in their last nine home fixtures against Coventry, with seven of those being victories against the Sky Blues.

Leicester will also point to their impressive home form since May this year, as they have won all four fixtures at the King Power, netting twice in all these victories while keeping three clean sheets.

Despite having a poor away-from-home record against Leicester City, Coventry can make history with a victory over the Foxes this weekend.

Coventry beat Leicester in January 2024, with a scoreline of 3-1 in the Championship, and while it has been over a year since they last faced each other, the Sky Blues can achieve back-to-back wins for the first time since 2001 against the Foxes.

Lampard will be confident he can extend Coventry’s unbeaten start to the campaign against Leicester despite history being against them.
