Hull City chief Acun Ilicali has recently been vocal on social media, having recently posted a teaser for the Tigers fans.
After the disappointment of the 2024/25 Championship season, Hull City have plenty of work to do ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Hull City stayed up on goal difference last season, and despite Ruben Selles completing his task of keeping the club up, he was let go in rather controversial circumstances by Acun Ilicali.
Once again, Ilicali has clicked the reset button, bringing in Sergej Jakirovic this summer, who will need plenty of backing to deliver on the Turkish owner’s lofty ambitions. Whilst few signings have been made so far, it is clear that vast work is underway behind the scenes, as shown by the Hull owner’s recent social media post.

When it comes to leaving hints about potential signings and club developments, Ilicali lives up to his showman status, and that is no different in his recent post.
On Instagram, Ilicali posted a story with the caption ‘Sunday working day’, with the Turk pictured with new boss Sergej Jakirovic.
Hull City fans will be keen that signings are hopefully being discussed, with the Tigers rather light of options across the pitch.
Recruitment is one area that Hull City and Acun need to get spot on this summer after the inconsistencies and difficulties they had last season.

Wholesale changes are needed in one area at Hull
If you ask any Hull fan what would be at the top of their wishlist for the upcoming season, they would certainly turn towards a striker.
As the lowest goalscorers in the 2024/25 Championship season, it is obvious that the frontline was far from good enough, although injuries to the likes of Mo Belloumi and Liam Millar admittedly didn’t help either Tim Walter or Ruben Selles.
With Joao Pedro out of the door, Hull’s top scorer last season, as well as Joe Gelhardt’s loan coming to an end, there is a gaping hole up top that must be filled with proven Championship goalscoring prowess.
Hull have gone down the correct avenue by pursuing a deal to sign Oli McBurnie, who looks set to return to the Championship following Las Palmas’ relegation from La Liga. If, for whatever reason, they are unable to clinch the Scotsman, Hull must not give up and look for similar targets.
