Luton Town and Plymouth Argyle fans will be desperate to see their side pick up a win tonight in a genuine relegation six-pointer.
Most people were more concerned with the clash at the top of the table on Monday night between Leeds United and Sunderland, a game that saw Leeds edge closer to promotion after a last-gasp win.
But now, attention turns to the other end of the Championship table, as strugglers Plymouth and Luton face off at Kenilworth Road looking to take a step towards survival.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 21 | 32 | 7 | 9 | 16 | 32 | 43 | -11 | 30 | |
| 22 | 33 | 7 | 8 | 18 | 33 | 46 | -13 | 29 | |

| 24 | 32 | 7 | 6 | 19 | 30 | 52 | -22 | 27 |
Though the situation does look perilous for both sides, all hope is by no means lost. Hull City sit in 21st place right now, just two points above Plymouth and three above Luton.
So, who will win this huge upcoming game? And can either team actually survive the relegation dogfight this season?

Neutrals back Plymouth to beat Luton in relegation six-pointer
Looking ahead to the only game in the Championship tonight, the Second Tier podcast posted on Twitter/X to highlight just how important this match is for the state of play at the bottom of the league.
They wrote: “Do you realise how big a game this is tonight? This is MASSIVE.”
Among the replies, neutral fans speculated as to who would win the game, and what it all means for the final league table come the end of the season.
One supporter said: “On recent form, if Argyle manage a win, they have a better chance of staying up compared to Luton. But this is football and anything can happen.”
Another suggested this is make-or-break for the two teams, adding: “Whoever loses this is almost definitely going down. Don’t see where their other points are coming from.”
One account replied: “Feel like Plymouth will win. Have seen both teams home and away, Plymouth were loads better than Luton and the players looked like they actually wanted to play and stay up. Luton looked lost devoid of passion.”
A common theme was clear, with Miron Muslic’s Plymouth side the obvious favourites despite being away from home. One fan said, “Fancy Plymouth. Luton have been terrible this season so far, hoped the new manager would make a difference.”
Meanwhile, one Plymouth supporter said: “Win this and I think we stay up, especially going into a home game against another struggling team [Cardiff City].”
However, there are still some who believe in Luton, with one person saying, “Bigger for Plymouth than Luton in my opinion, Luton have enough in their squad to get out of the position they’re in.”

Luton Town’s fall from grace has been difficult to watch
The game tonight is the main talking point in the Championship as we come to the end of another gameweek, but looking at the bigger picture, the writing has been on the wall for Luton for some time.
Since their relegation from the Premier League last season, many had expected the Hatters to be a force to be reckoned with this year, but the opposite has been true.
Luton lost all sense of identity under Rob Edwards as the season went on, and the appointment of Matt Broomfield has not changed much at all in the first month of his tenure.

Of all the teams in the division, Luton certainly look the most hapless and there is no clear drive or determination among the players to even turn things around — at least that’s what it looks like from the outside.
If they can win tonight, the fight for survival will surely pick up some steam. Lose, however, and they may as well get ready for life in League One.
