Birmingham City are being torn apart after club make a ‘disgusting’ announcement, it’s ‘a joke’

Things are on the up for Birmingham City, but the club has now come under heavy fire from rival fans.

Birmingham City lost the EFL Trophy final to Peterborough United this past week, but that’s unlikely to bother them too much.

The ultimate goal was always securing promotion back to the Championship, and they did that in emphatic fashion.

The Blues won the league title on Saturday, and Birmingham can break a League One record before the season is over.

Owing to their very hectic schedule, they still have six more matches to play out in the third tier this term – two more than most clubs.

Next up is a meeting with Crawley Town on April 18, before some more favorable fixtures that should allow them to surpass Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Birmingham City slammed for away ticket price vs Mansfield Town

After taking on Crawley, Birmingham are away to Burton Albion and Stevenage before returning home on April 27 versus Mansfield Town.

The ticket price for Mansfield fans wanting to attend St Andrew’s that week has now been confirmed.

This news has obviously not gone down too well with Mansfield fans and even some neturals, who have taken to social media to make their feelings clear.

One fan wrote: “Decent allocation but that price is disgusting.”

A second added: “Premier League away prices are capped at £30. To pay more for a side that have won the league, but not in style, nor have players (other than May) that are a big draw. Their owners know the cost of everything and the value of nothing. I expected better.”

“@BCFC these adult prices are terrible, but the U16 price is atrocious. While most clubs are trying to encourage younger fans and families, you’re discouraging them over a few extra £££,” a third wrote.

A fourth fan stated: “Disgraceful prices. Should boycott,” while another tweeted in response to some comments made from Birmingham supporters: “These replies prove how unbearable Birmingham fans are.”

Another claimed: “The quicker these lot are out the league the better! £32.50 for L1 football is a joke!”

How much Birmingham City charge their own fans for tickets

The Mansfield fixture is currently only on sale to Birmingham members, but tickets can still be purchased for Friday’s clash with Crawley.

When looking on the club’s official website, the price for an adult ticket in most stands for Crawley is £30 – less than what Mansfield are being charged.

Seniors are paying £25 a ticket, while a Junior ticket will cost £15 – again, less than Stags supporters must cough up.
