Bradford City fans will be excited for the upcoming 2025/26 season as they prepare to watch their side in League One for the first time since 2019.
The Bantams are a true sleeping giant of English football, with the club being part of the Premier League as recently as 2001 and in the same season competing in the Intertoto Cup.
The promotion from League Two last season will be encouraging for fans of the club that they may one day be able to compete in the top flight of English football once again.
Fans will be bubbling with excitement, and some of this would have been directed towards seeing their new home kit for the upcoming season.
The club have now shared their home kit on social media, and fans have let their thoughts be known.
Bradford City fans react to their 2025/26 home kit
Excitement and concern always build around the release of a club’s new kit for the season, as fans hope their team will wear something iconic as they potentially make history with the club.
Bradford City took to social media to share their new home kit for the League One season with the fans, and they may not have been expecting the reaction that they received following the post.
One fan said: “How can you get it so wrong?”
Another fan added to the sentiment as they said: “Not keen, I’m afraid. I’d love to know who’s designing these shirts and if we (the club) have a say in it.”
Some fans had stronger reactions to the kit, as one said: “There’s been some howlers over the years, but I think this might actually be the worst one in my lifetime.”
While another added: “I’m sorry, but it’s truly awful. Who signs these kits off? Too much messing about with designs—stick with thicker stripes, which is a “classic” design. This is one of the worst City kits I’ve ever seen.
However, there were a number of fans who believe the top is not that bad and like the look of the design.
One fan said: “How are people saying it’s horrid. It’s one of the nicest home kits we have had for years. Big fan.”
Yet, the overall feeling was one of dislike for the home kit for the upcoming campaign.
Bradford City’s return to League One
Fans were already excited after their promotion to the division, and it continued to grow with the announcement of the season’s fixtures.
Bradford will open their campaign with a difficult task at home, as Wycombe Wanderers are the visitors looking to put behind them the disappointment of failing to earn promotion to the Championship last campaign.
Their first away game of the season will be to Northampton Town, and only a matter of days later Bradford will travel to Ewood Park to face Blackburn Rovers in the EFL Cup.

The Bantams will finish their season away in Exeter, with fans hopeful at a minimum they have already secured their status in the division for another season.
