Nahki Wells is on the hunt for a new club after opting to leave Bristol City.
Wells’ departure was confirmed by Bristol City as the Robins begin a new era under Gerhard Struber.
Where the Bermuda international will head to next is a mystery but in an interview with the Royal Gazette, Wells has already confirmed that a fairytale return to Bradford City is off the cards, saying: “There’s absolutely no truth in that.”
Bradford may be off the cards but a reunion at another League One outfit could still happen.

Nahki Wells could be tempted by Huddersfield Town return
Huddersfield Town are League One promotion favourites early doors and are setting themselves up for a strong season.
Lee Grant was appointed Huddersfield manager and has been strengthening the squad all over the pitch.
Attack is a priority as well and the Terriers are reportedly interested in Stoke City’s Nathan Lowe.
But Wells, who scored 10 goals in 41 games for Bristol City last season, has proved he has still got it – even at the age of 35.
The forward would also be significantly cheaper than Lowe and even if it is a more short-term option, goals are still guaranteed.
Nahki Wells still has Huddersfield Town regret
Wells played over 150 times for the Yorkshire club, scoring 49 goals and enjoyed great success before leaving to join Burnley.
His time with Huddersfield coincided with the club’s most successful period as they went from League One to the Premier League.
By the time they reached the Premier League the Bermuda forward had already left and in 2024, he admitted that he regretted not being there for the ride.
| Games | Goals | Assists |
|---|---|---|
| 153 | 49 | 13 |
He told the Yorkshire Post: “I’d loved to have stuck around for a crack at the Premier League with Town after doing so much to get us there.
“But football is political. It was a contractual situation and I left with head held high.
“It was tough because I made lifelong friends there like my roommate Hoggy (Jonathan Hogg), Sean Scannell, Joe Lolley and kitman Brooky (Andrew Brook).”
