Huddersfield Town are having a very busy summer transfer window.
Lee Grant took charge of the Terriers in May, and the former Derby County goalkeeper is working quickly to get his team prepared for the 2025/26 League One campaign.
Huddersfield have made six new signings already, and after a big January window, they are readying multi-million pound moves for new stars once again.
Joe Taylor and Dion Charles both joined the club in the winter, and while they were not quite able to hit it off straight away, they will be big players this season. However, they may have new competition from a potentially huge signing at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Huddersfield Town close in on Nathan Lowe move
After missing out on the play-offs in League One last season, Huddersfield are working quickly to ensure the same does not happen in the upcoming campaign with Nathan Lowe now a target.

The Stoke City striker had a tremendous loan spell in League Two with Walsall at the start of 2024/25, but he was recalled by the Potters in January – although he struggled to make an impact at the bet365 Stadium.
According to a report from Alan Nixon, the Terriers are keen on Lowe, but there is a £2.5m price-tag on the striker. He said: “Stoke City want £2.5 million for young striker Nathan Lowe – and Huddersfield are getting close to paying it.
“Lowe had a great spell on loan at Walsall but the Potters could cash in if the right offer arrives. [The] Terriers are having a go after relegation and would come up with the fee. The debate will be the size of the bonuses to hit the figure.”
Nathan Lowe can fire the Terriers to promotion
It’s all about promotion this season for Huddersfield, and with Birmingham City and Wrexham already in the Championship, there is a more open battle for the top two in 2025/26.
Lowe proved during his time with Walsall just how much of a threat he can be when given a consistent run of games, and he will be keen to prove his worth once again.

While £2.5m is a lot of money for a League One club, at just 19 the Stoke forward has significant potential and he has the capacity to score the goals needed to take the Terriers to the Championship.
The competition for the striker position at Huddersfield will be an intriguing watch if Lowe makes the switch to West Yorkshire, but Grant has surely built a team destined for promotion.
