Every Huddersfield Town incoming and outgoing this summer as Terriers plot League One promotion push

They’ve become the early favourites for the League One title thanks to their recent transfer activity, so here’s a roundup of every incoming and outgoing at Huddersfield Town.

It was a disappointing campaign for Huddersfield Town in 2024/25. The Terriers were expected to push for promotion, and despite early signs they could do that, they ended up in tenth place and 14 points adrift of the top six.

That cost Michael Duff his job, and just a couple of weeks ago Huddersfield appointed Lee Grant in his place. The former Ipswich Town coach came with a lot of hype, and the early signs are pointing to a new and very positive direction for the club.

Grant has been busy already, with new faces arriving and some departing. Here’s the breakdown of all the transfers completed by Huddersfield so far as they look to be successful in League One in 2025/26.

Clearly, Grant has been putting his impressive network of connections to good use during the summer transfer window, with four new players signed already.

Ryan Ledson was his first signing, with the midfielder arriving on a free transfer after being released by Preston North End.

Next up, Grant tapped up his old club Ipswich to secure the signing of Marcus Harness. The attacking midfielder spent last season on loan at Derby County and was thought to be going back there again this summer.

Then, this week, Huddersfield completed a double swoop for defensive duo Joe Low from Wycombe Wanderers and Sean Roughan from Lincoln City.

Huddersfield Town outgoings this summer

It’s all change at Huddersfield, with a number of players departing the club this summer upon the expiry of their contracts. The names being released include veterans Tom Lees and Danny Ward.

The club also let Sorba Thomas join Stoke City, which has got fans there very excited after his latest international appearance for Wales.

Youngster Tom Iorpenda has also joined League Two outfit Notts County on loan.

The latest Huddersfield Town transfer rumours

It seems Huddersfield are not finished yet. Just this week, they’ve been linked with moves for Dutch full-back Denzel Hall, who plays for SC Heerenveen.

The Terriers are also reportedly looking to raid Lincoln City again to sign defender Paudie O’Connor, but will face competition from Championship clubs like Derby County there.

It’s early days, but they could also be one of the League One clubs looking to benefit from Nathan Lowe. The young Stoke striker starred on loan at Walsall last season and is being lined up for another temporary spell in 2025/26.
