As Sheffield Wednesday continue to spiral out of control, it seems one potential buyer for the club is making all the right moves to suggest a takeover is close.
Dejphon Chansiri is public enemy number one in the blue half of Sheffield right now, with the Owls chairman seemingly intent on running the club into the ground.
Failed payments to staff and players have seen the club hit with a transfer ban and vulnerable to players terminating their own contracts.
Meanwhile, the EFL is doing nothing to help Sheffield Wednesday and Chansiri continues to remain in charge. But, there are hopes that a takeover can be completed at some point in the near future to help bring the club back from the dead.
John Textor has been linked with Wednesday previously, and his name has emerged as a serious contender once again now.

All signs point to John Textor takeover at Sheffield Wednesday
Speculation began ramping up again earlier this week when Textor suddenly began following Sheffield Wednesday on Instagram. Obviously, we should take that kind of thing with a pinch of salt, but it would be an odd move for someone in his position to make given the reported interest in the past.
Is he just casually curious? Or is Textor ready to make Sheffield Wednesday a focal point in his life?
Well, a report from Brazil — where Textor owns a majority share in Botafogo — suggests there’s more to it. It’s now thought Textor has a plan in place to make the Owls part of his business portfolio.
It’s thought Textor intends to launch a new cluster of clubs under the Eagle Group Football umbrella, which would be separate to his existing Eagle Holdings Limited banner. Botafogo would be part of the new group along with RWDM Brussels, and Textor wants to add an English club to the mix, too.
The report claims he is looking at Sheffield Wednesday and Watford, though the former is the more likely avenue he will pursue.
The thinking is, Textor has seen issues arise as a clash of interests between his shares in Crystal Palace and Lyon have potentially left the Eagles primed to be kicked out of European competition for the season ahead.
It’s claimed Textor, who sold those shares in Palace, could now use that money to fund the takeover at Sheffield Wednesday.

Sheffield Wednesday fans will be wary of John Textor issues
Obviously, Owls fans won’t be getting too excited about these latest rumours, as multiple names have come and gone this summer in relation to this proposed (and much-needed) takeover.
They’ll also be very wary of Textor personally due to the fact his football clubs have often experienced issues that will feel frighteningly familiar to Wednesday supporters.
Unpaid bills and wages and mounting debts have been cited in the past, but it has to be said that Textor’s success outweighs the negatives at this point. And, for Sheffield Wednesday, the feeling will be that the grass simply has to be greener on the other side.
Now, it just remains to be seen whether this bizarre takeover process can come to a successful end, and whether Textor is willing to meet Chansiri’s lofty valuation of Sheffield Wednesday.
