There’s a full round of fixtures in the Championship tomorrow night, and experts are coming up with tantalising score predictions for the Sheffield United vs Bristol City game.
This past weekend in the Championship threw up some surprising and very interesting results, with Leeds United’s disappointing defeat to Portsmouth blowing the title race wide open once more.
Sheffield United are now level on points with their Yorkshire rivals with just ten games to go, and could well usurp the Whites on Tuesday night if results go their way.
But, standing in their way is a Bristol City side fighting for the play-offs, and they’ll put up a very tough test at Bramall Lane. So, which way will this game go?

Experts think Sheffield United will have too much for Bristol City
Discussing the big game on the Championship Check-In podcast, Benjamin Bloom and Sam Parkin suggested we’ll be in for a fascinating battle between the title contenders and the dark horses for the play-offs.
Parkin said: “I’m really looking forward to this. As soon as I saw that Pompey result against Leeds I was rubbing my hands together thinking about this terrific atmosphere at Bramall Lane. I hope we get a good game. Obviously the home support will be dreaming of that title now.
“Not that they weren’t already but going into a home game on the same points [as Leeds]. Bristol City are always a difficult team to beat though. There’s that inconsistency, but they really responded to the negativity about a month ago, and proved themselves to be a good outside shout for the play-offs.
“Here I think it’s going to be a narrow win for Sheffield United. I will go for them to win consecutive home games by a goal to nil.”

Bloom agreed, and backed the Blades to keep another clean sheet as they continue their pursuit of the Championship title, and just maybe, that all-time record points tally in the second tier.
He added: “I was going to go for that. Obviously that was predictable at the weekend, too. We love the clean sheet at home victory.
“I know Bristol City are carrying an unbeaten streak, but there’s a frustration there that they went to Millwall and got a brilliant win, before going to Hull City and playing with ten men. They would have wanted the three points there, and that would’ve put them level with West Brom in sixth.
“This I think will be too difficult for them. I’m backing the clean sheet. So I’ll go Sheffield United 2-0 win.”
A win for the Blades would be a brilliant way to put pressure on Leeds, who are looking to bounce back against Millwall on Wednesday night.

Sheffield United’s ability to grind out wins is going to be valuable
The truth is, Sheffield United have not really been playing that well for quite some time, but they keep on getting the results they need. That is very often the sign of champions.
Championship fans think Leeds are choking on the pressure at the top, which is something the Blades haven’t looked like doing at any stage.

Chris Wilder simply knows how to get the job done in this division, while Daniel Farke will surely still have the sour taste of failure in his mouth from last season. That mental advantage could well end up being the difference between the two teams come the end of the season.
One thing’s for sure, if United can go into the weekend at the top of the Championship table, it’ll be very hard to prise that lead away from them.
