Coventry City and Middlesbrough faced off on May 3, with a place in the Championship play-offs on the line for both teams.
It was advantage Coventry City heading into the Championship final day, with Frank Lampard’s men sitting sixth.
That meant the Sky Blues simply just had to win to ensure they would earn a play-off spot along with already confirmed entrants, Sheffield United and Sunderland.
As for Middlesbrough, they had to beat Frank Lampard’s side then hope Blackburn Rovers dropped points against Sheffield United, and that Millwall did the same against Burnely.

Coventry City and Middlesbrough fans praise Ben Wilson
Coventry had the better of the chances for much of the first 45, though Boro did create a couple of opportunities.
But it was the home side who took the lead right before the break, with Jack Rudoni losing Jonny Howson from a cross to make it 1-0.
Middlesbrough had a number of chances to score in the second 45 but were denied on multiple occasions by Ben Wilson.
The goalkeeper has since come in for heavy praise from both sets of supporters on the day.
One fan wrote: “Absolutely sensational Ben Wilson!!”
A second added: “What a ——- save Ben Wilson.”
A Middlesbrough fan stated: “Ben Wilson playing like what can only be described as a prime Jimmy Lees, circa 1996. #UTB”
Another asked: “Ben Wilson, please stop being so good at your job.”
While one Coventry fan tweeted: “Ben Wilson has been absolutely immense.”
And another stated: “Ben Wilson is playing so well. So glad he got another chance.”
Frank Lampard facing big call for Championship play-offs
Coventry have booked their place in the play-offs, which will get underway late next week.
But Lampard must decide if he is going to stick with Wilson between the sticks after making the bold call to start him on Saturday.
The keeper had missed much of the season with an injury and, upon his return, was left on the bench for eight matches.
However, he was excellent on his return today and could well have done enough to keep his place next week.
