It could be a busy summer at the Kassam Stadium this summer, with manager Gary Rowett taking his first pre-season with the club since being appointed to his current role with Oxford United in December last season.

Gary Rowett will need to be smart in how he goes about acquiring talent for the club, knowing that Oxford United are not one of the financial behemoths of the Championship.

Oxford will have to be shrewd with their business this summer, as they look to gather funds from transfers out of the club to help fund acquisitions.

The ambition for the club once again will be to remain in the division, hoping they don’t get dragged into a relegation dogfight.

With the summer transfer window open, Oxford have the chance to strengthen their squad, hoping to do deals as early as possible to give them as much time to bed in during pre-season.

As players have joined and with plenty set to depart, here’s a rundown of all the confirmed Oxford United transfers so far.

Oxford United seem intent on bringing in a number of fresh faces this summer, as they have been linked to a few new signings since the transfer window opened.

The club confirmed their first signing in Brian De Keersmaecker, with the Belgian midfielder joining from Dutch side Heracles.

The 25-year-old operates primarily in the defensive midfielder role, but he does have an eye for goal too.

Oxford United have already confirmed the departure of six players from the club this summer.

Arguably the highest profile was the exit of their League One play-off hero, Ruben Rodrigues, departing for Vitoria in Brazil.

Oxford also confirmed the exit of Idris El Mizouni to Leyton Orient for an undisclosed fee and the loan deal of Stuart Findlay to the Scottish side, Hearts.

Meanwhile, three players left the club on a free transfer after the expiration of their contracts; the most recognisable name was Josh McEachran, who left the club for Bristol Rovers.

While the Oxford Mail also reported the club is likely to see the exit of Jordan Thorniley, Owen Dale, and Will Goodwin on loan or permanently depending on the offers they receive.
