Sheffield Wednesday were held to a 1-1 draw against Queens Park Rangers as their wait for a first home league win of the season goes on.
Wednesday were hit with a third transfer embargo on the eve of the game but that didn’t dampen spirits on the pitch as the Owls took the lead on the half-hour mark through Dominic Iorfa.
QPR equalised when Nicolas Madsen scored from the penalty spot and left Hillsborough with a share of the spoils.
There was a lot to like from Wednesday’s result, including Harry Amass’ performance, but Henrik Pedersen still thinks there was one thing missing from their game.

Henrik Pedersen wants Sheffield Wednesday to be more clinical
Playing at Hillsborough has been difficult for Wednesday amid the ongoing boycotts of the home ground from supporters.
Despite that, the Owls created a lot and had 14 shots on goal, but Pedersen said his side need to take more chances after only scoring once.
He told BBC Radio Sheffield: “It was a generally strong performance. It has been very difficult at home but we played with strong discipline and showed strong belief.
“Defensively we were very solid with good discipline and we showed the next step on the ball and created chances.
“The second half we had a difficult 10 minutes at the start but we worked back. Altogether, it was a strong home game.
“We have showed we can compete with teams. The boys showed a big, big mentality. But we cannot have 14 shots and create five big chances and have only one goal.”
Sheffield Wednesday cannot solve striker issue
This latest embargo now means that Wednesday cannot sign players at all – even those available on a free transfer.
A whole host of free agents are available in the strikers’ position who could help the Owls to be more clinical.
The former Leeds United striker Kemar Roofe is one of those, but Wednesday will have to wait to see if they can strengthen their squad.
