Ruben Selles has given his views on John Eustace since he took over at Derby County.
Hull City will host Derby County this weekend at the MKM Stadium in a game that will no doubt be decisive in the nail-biting relegation scrap.
Hull and Derby sit on 48 and 46 points respectively, floating just above an in-form Luton Town side that will welcome Coventry City to Kenilworth Road.
Ahead of the game, Tigers boss Ruben Selles has been questioned by the media about Derby County boss John Eustace, whom he has been impressed with since he left his role at Blackburn Rovers.

Hull City boss Ruben Selles praises John Eustace’s role at Derby County
Since taking over from the unsuccessful Paul Warne, whose side slumped to a mid-season poor run of form, Eustace has overseen an overturn in results, notching 17 points in 12 matches.
Unfortunately for Derby, their good fortunes have somewhat run short recently, with Luton Town clinching a crucial win against them at Pride Park, but they responded brilliantly last time out with a 3-1 win against West Brom.
The job Eustace has done so far with the Rams certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed, especially by Tigers boss Ruben Selles, who, per Hull Live, spoke of the job that he did with Blackburn Rovers, and how that has translated into his role with Derby County.
“We also know that it’s difficult when you come to a team that didn’t win for a while, to make that turnaround,” said Selles. “It’s always difficult. I think John did a very good job with Blackburn. He was in the play-offs when we played them at Christmas, and since arriving there, he has found a way for the team to win football matches and be competitive, and that’s a big credit for him.
“Our task now is to reduce or make that target that they have not happen and create our own destiny by beating them.”

Hull vs Derby clash will leave one side dreading the worst
The pressure will certainly be on Derby County to clinch a win at the MKM Stadium against Hull City due to their two-point deficit to their opposition, as well as Luton Town breathing down their necks.
If Derby County aren’t able to defeat Selles’ side, alarm bells will certainly start ringing, especially amid Luton’s form, as well as the potential for a late resurgence from Cardiff City, who have rolled the dice with the appointment of Aaron Ramsey until the end of the 2024/25 Championship campaign.
Hull City will be aware of the job they must complete at the weekend, and it will no doubt be unattractive, but it would be crucial to save their skin this season.
