Hull City host Derby County in a huge relegation six-pointer at the bottom of the Championship table this weekend.
On Monday, Hull beat Preston North End 2-1 thanks to a Joe Gelhardt brace, but as four of the bottom five teams won, the Tigers couldn’t extend their buffer on the relegation places.

John Eustace’s side were one of the teams that won as Derby County secured a 3-1 win over West Brom to keep them above 22nd-place Luton Town on goal difference.
Ahead of the massive showdown at the MKM Stadium, Ruben Selles has sent a rallying cry to his Hull City players, reminding them that their fate is in their hands.
Meanwhile, Derby have been working on set-pieces, knowing the hosts are weak at defending them as they aim to craft their way to goal.

David Prutton issues Hull City vs Derby County prediction
It promises to be a nerve-shredding afternoon in East Yorkshire as Hull are just two points above their opponents.
City’s nerves aren’t helped by their worst home record in the Championship, winning just five of their 22 matches.
A sixth home win for the Tigers, though, would surely see them survive on 51 points, but Sky Sports pundit David Prutton expects the drama to continue to the final day as he predicts a 1-1 draw.
Speaking on the Essential EFL podcast, Prutton said: “Yeah, no, the whole thing is mind-blowing. Hull against Derby at home. Even though Derby have been wonderful under John Eustace, and that recovery from Hull City at the weekend was phenomenal.
“Yeah. Hull at home, though. There’s something about Hull at home. I think this is a draw. I think this is an edgy, one-all draw.”
Joe Gelhardt can decide relegation six-pointer
A tight and nervy contest is anticipated at the MKM Stadium, needing a moment of individual brilliance to seal it.
For Hull City, Leeds United loanee Gelhardt is the most likely to produce a moment of class to drive his side to survival.
Joe Gelhardt’s stats vs Preston
87 minutes played
2 goals
45 touches
17/19 (89%) accurate passes
2 successful dribbles
4/9 ground duels
In the win over Preston, Gelhardt stepped up twice from the penalty spot to drag his side from one-nil down to seal a vital three points.
Selles will want to see some similar heroics from the 22-year-old this weekend as he looks to add to his goal tally of five since joining on loan in January.
