Hull City are fighting for their Championship survival going into their final day meeting on May 3.
Hull City were beaten by Derby County last time out, dragging the Tigers firmly into the relegation scrap.
The Yorkshire outfit have slipped into 22nd place and are now one of six teams who could be demoted to League One this weekend.
Cardiff City are already down, while Plymouth Argyle’s goal difference makes it impossible to catch Luton Town or Preston North End in reality.

Hull will face Portsmouth on Saturday and likely have to win to keep their survival hopes alive.

Hull City ‘in trouble’ with Championship relegation battle
One Championship pundit recently backed Hull to beat Portsmouth, which would give them a chance of staying up.
However, another BBC pundit has been discussing the Tigers this week and has been less than positive.
Speaking on the 72+ EFL podcast, Aaron Paul admitted he is worried about Hull and Preston going into the final day.
He said: “Luton have been picking up wins. For me, Hull and Preston are the ones that are in trouble.
He said: “I can see Bristol City winning at home they’ve got brilliant home record, and Hull having lost the game against Derby so late on, I just wonder what that does for the team spirit and morale going into it, they’ve been the ones that sort of been dragged down there a little bit, and looking at the table now with points to make up, I think they’re going to be in a little bit of trouble.”
Paul went on to slam Hull for the sacking of Liam Rosenior after a seventh-place finish last time out.
He continued: “And I mean what a disaster that would be after finishing seventh, getting rid of Liam Rosenior, which at the time we felt was ridiculous, could make it an even worse decision, couldn’t it if they’re not getting relegated, you know.”
Hull City vs Portsmouth head-to-head record
While it is a must-win fixture for Hull, history is not on their side ahead of the weekend.
They have picked up 14 wins in this fixture previously, while Portsmouth have won 22 and the remaining 21 matches have ended as draws.
The last clash between the duo came in November 2024 and ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
Hull last beat Portsmouth on January 23rd, 2021, coming away with a 4-0 victory.
