Leicester City are the second team to have been relegated from the Premier League.

Although it’s been coming for weeks, the Foxes’ fate was officially confirmed after their 1-0 defeat against Liverpool.

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s future is in doubt, with many expecting him to depart the King Power Stadium.

He won’t be the only one and a mass exodus is expected ahead of the Championship campaign next season.

Star names like Mads Hermansen and Bilal El Khannouss are among those likely to depart, but their may be hope that one sticks around for the promotion fight.

Abdul Fatawu hints that he will be a Leicester player next season

Relegation has looked inevitable but there is food for thought in the sense of where would Leicester have finished if Abdul Fatawu had been fit for the whole season.

Fatawu has been out since November with a long-term injury but been working hard behind the scenes to get fit.

The winger won’t return to action until pre-season this summer but has already hinted that he will be with the Foxes next season.

Posting to his Instagram story, he shared a black screen with a message that read: “The real ones still stay with you at any position or place you find yourself. If you once made something happen, it’s surely possible to do that again.”

Abdul Fatawu will be a Championship defender’s nightmare

Those who remember watching Fatawu the last time Leicester were in the Championship will remember that he was a nuisance to deal with.

Turning defenders inside and out, shots popping off from all sorts of angles, a more experienced, polished version is only going to cause more problems.

Not only would he be expected to score more than the six he managed in the previous Championship campaign, the 21-year-old would be ranked among the best players in the entire division.

Leicester’s biggest weapon is the thing that defenders in the second tier will fear most.
